The new details of IEM Katowice 2018 became known

Organizers of the championship IEM Katowice 2018 announced the details of qualifiers in Oceania and Asia. Both regions received one slot in the LAN finals and six teams from each region will struggle for it, two of them will fight their way to the close qualification through the open qualifiers.

The open qualifiers in Asia:

• 1st: January 7-8
• 2nd: January 16-17

The open qualifiers in Oceania:

• 1st: January 6-7
• 2nd: January 17-18

The schedule of the close qualification in Asia:

• January 19 - upper bracket Ro6 & RO4 (bo3)
• January 20 - lower bracket Ro4b & upper bracket Ro2 (bo3)
• January 21 - lower bracket Ro2a & lower bracket Ro2b (bo3)
• January 22 - grand-final (bo5, the upper bracket team starts with 1:0)

The schedule of the close qualification in Oceania:

• January 20 - upper bracket Ro6 (bo3)
• January 21 - upper bracket Ro4 (bo3)
• January 22 - lower bracket Ro4b (bo3)
• January 23 - upper bracket Ro2 & lower bracket Ro2a (bo3)
• January 24 - lower bracket Ro2b (bo3)
• January 25 - grand-final (bo5, the upper bracket team starts with 1:0)
