MAJ3R Steps Away From Professional Counter-Strike
Aurora Gaming has announced that Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli is stepping away from professional Counter-Strike, bringing an end to an impressive competitive chapter that spanned nearly two decades.
The 35-year-old in-game leader has decided to pause his playing career to dedicate more time to his family, the organization confirmed.
MAJ3R began competing in 2006 and went on to establish himself as one of the most respected figures in the Counter-Strike scene. Throughout his career, he represented organizations including Space Soldiers, LDLC, Eternal Fire, and Aurora Gaming, where he helped lead the team to victory at PGL Bucharest 2025.
Although he is stepping away from active competition, MAJ3R will remain with Aurora Gaming. The organization stated that he will continue as part of the club, with details regarding his new position expected to be announced in the near future.
While Aurora has not officially revealed his next role, the veteran is widely expected to transition into a coaching or analytical position, allowing him to continue contributing his experience and leadership to the organization's future projects.
