Black Friday 2026 lands on November 27, and the stores stopped waiting for it years ago. PlayStation opened its sale on November 4. Eight days before Black Friday, on November 19, Grand Theft Auto VI finally comes out after two delays and thirteen years. GTA 6 is a proper holiday for the entertainment industry, so the only real question is where to celebrate it without paying full price for everything else.

Will GTA 6 Be Discounted During Black Friday 2026?

No, and nothing Rockstar has published suggests otherwise. The game launches November 19 at full price, with digital pre-order opening November 12. A Rockstar flagship does not get cut eight days into its life, and the Black Friday calendar has no bearing on it.

You can still pay less, just not on the game itself. Wallet credit and gift cards get discounted even when the title does not, so buying PSN or Xbox funds cheap and spending them on launch day is the standard route. Eneba stocks that kind of credit year-round, and the EGW5 code takes another 5% off at checkout. It is also where the cheap game keys live for everything you are not buying at full price in November, GTA 5 and the rest of the Rockstar back catalogue included.

When Does Black Friday 2026 Peak for Gaming Deals?

Black Friday is November 27, and Cyber Monday is November 30, but the gaming sales run on their own schedule. PlayStation has been live since November 4. Xbox looks set for November 19. Hardware brands usually start leaking offers in the third week of the month. If you only want to check once, November 19 to 27 is the window where console, accessory, and subscription prices bottom out.

Best Deals for PlayStation Gamers

The PlayStation Store Black Friday sale is already running. It opened November 4 and closes November 30, with up to 75% off thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and DLC. Sony refreshes the lineup on November 16, and a chunk of the opening discounts expire on November 20 at 23:59. Waiting for Black Friday itself can cost you the price you already saw.

That announcement doesn’t include PS5 console bundles, DualSense controllers, or PS Plus. Sony usually posts hardware and subscription offers separately around November 19 or 20, which is when the PS Plus Black Friday discount appeared last year. Anyone renewing a membership should hold off until then rather than buying into the current price.

Best Deals for Xbox Gamers

Microsoft has not published an Xbox Black Friday page for 2026. A leaked list circulating since early November points to a November 19 start and roughly 3,500 store listings, and the Microsoft Store already dates its own sale November 19 to 28. Likely, but not confirmed.

Some discounts are live regardless. The Wolf Among Us Remastered launched October 29 at $24.99 and sits at 20% off until November 12, dropping to $12.50 if you own the Xbox One digital original. A brand new release cutting its price in its second week says something about how hard the November 19 wave might hit older catalogue. Xbox wireless controllers are the other dependable one, since they get cut every year and the popular colours go first. Eneba carries Xbox gift cards and Game Pass codes if you would rather top up before the sale opens.

Best Deals for PC Gamers

Steam is the outlier this year, breaking a rule only they can afford to break. Valve moved the Autumn Sale to October 1 to 8, so the storewide event that used to sit in Thanksgiving week has already come and gone. Valve ran a standalone Black Friday event in 2025 and has published nothing equivalent for 2026, which means late November discounts on Steam will be scattered across individual publisher promos instead of one sale page.

GOG covers what Steam leaves open, at least for older games. Last year’s Black Friday sale there carried more than 7,500 offers at up to 95% off and ran until December 3, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition at 80% off, Cyberpunk 2077 at 65% off, and Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete at half price. Classics and almost-classics are where GOG beats everyone. The 2026 dates are not out yet.

Black Friday gaming chair deals swing harder in late November than almost any other gaming category, and Blacklyte cuts its own prices rather than waiting on a retailer to do it. Black Friday VPN deals follow the same rhythm, with two year plans hitting their yearly low in this exact window. Useful if you buy from regional storefronts or play on hotel and campus Wi-Fi because a VPN might improve performance in online games.

Black Friday or Cyber Monday: Which One Should Gamers Wait For?

The old split was hardware on Friday, digital on Monday. That is gone. The PlayStation sale covers both dates and ends the same night Cyber Monday does. Xbox, if the leak holds, will be nine days old by the time Friday arrives. Peripherals are the one category where Monday can still beat Friday, because retailers clear leftover stock after the weekend rather than before it.

Do Fortnite and Marvel Rivals Get Black Friday Deals?

Free-to-play games have no price to cut, so Black Friday reaches them sideways. Fortnite and Marvel Rivals both sell currency, battle passes and cosmetic bundles, and the currency itself almost never goes on sale directly. The payment layer is what moves. Discounted PlayStation, Xbox and Steam gift cards buy V-Bucks and Lattice at the same rate they always did, so the card is the discount.

Epic and NetEase also run in-game store events in late November, usually bundle pricing instead of straight percentage cuts. Those get announced on the day or not at all, which is why they are worth a look on November 27 even if nothing shows up on a deals page beforehand.

Black Friday Gaming Headset and Gear Deals

Headsets are the most discounted gaming accessory of the month, and the pattern repeats every year. Last generation wireless models get gutted while the current flagship moves a few dollars. Mice and keyboards behave the same way. The practical approach is to pick two or three specific models now, write down what they cost today, and check them again on November 19.

I have bought exactly one thing on Black Friday that I still use, and it was a headset I had been watching since September, and honestly, the Xbox Wireless Controller in a new colour still doesn't leave me alone. Yeah, I own a PS5, but at the same time use an Xbox controller to play on my gaming laptop, as if it’s “Xbox One” at home.

Everything else went into a drawer within a month. We add offers here the same way: a deal goes on the page when it beats its own normal price, not because the date says it should.

FAQ

Black Friday falls on November 27, but gaming sales started well before it. PlayStation went live November 4 and runs to November 30. Xbox is expected to open November 19. Most hardware discounts land between November 19 and November 27.
No. Grand Theft Auto VI releases November 19 at full price and will not be discounted eight days later. Discounted gift cards and wallet credit are the only way to cut the real cost.
Not in the November 4 announcement, which covers games, expansions and DLC only. Sony normally posts PS Plus and hardware offers around November 19 or 20. Last year the Premium tier was discounted during that second wave.
Not a storewide one. Valve moved the Autumn Sale to October 1 to 8 and has not announced a Black Friday event for 2026. Individual publishers still run their own discounts through late November.
Add the item to your cart on the partner site, then paste EGW5 (for example) into the promo field before you pay. It stacks on top of whatever discount is already applied. Codes are per partner, so one that works at one store will not work at another.
Chairs: yes; headsets: mostly. Both categories genuinely hit their yearly low in late November. Check the price history on anything you are tempted by, since a handful of listings get marked up in October and then marked back down in November.
Partners set their own stock and end dates. Some PlayStation discounts, for example, expire November 20 while the sale itself runs to November 30. When an offer dies we pull the tile rather than leave a dead link.
