Unique Prototype Item Found in CS2: The Only Known EMS Katowice 2014 Legends Capsule

A random CS2 player's inventory has turned up an item that hasn't appeared in any public source before – a Prototype EMS Katowice 2014 Legends capsule. The find was reported by X user sr_peaceman.

Until now, collectors and rare-item researchers only knew of Prototype capsules from the Challengers stage: over the years, no more than five such copies have surfaced, held by Skadoodle and AZK (both from the then-Cloud9 roster), A2 (HellRaisers), and dazed and adreN. A matching Legends-version item had never been publicly confirmed before – meaning this new find could be the first documented specimen of its kind.

Like other Prototype items in CS2 (capsules, keys, map coins), this capsule cannot be traded, sold, or opened. Based on available information, Valve issued such items to a limited circle of people – likely the creators or contributors behind the Katowice 2014 stickers, rather than regular players or tournament viewers.

As of publication, there's no official information from Valve or independent confirmation from other collectors – the community is only just starting to discuss the find.
