Summer Game Fest 2026—What Games Could Be Revealed and Announced

In just a few hours, the main gaming event of the year - Summer Game Fest 2026 - will take place, without exaggeration. As was the case with the PlayStation event, State of Play, which took place on June 2, fans expect that the upcoming show will showcase gameplay of many upcoming projects, as well as announce games that have long been in development. It has been confirmed that Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software are working on the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy, which was reported back in 2024. Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake

One of the most anticipated announcements at the upcoming Summer Game Fest is the remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, which is reportedly Capcom's top priority at the moment and could become the largest remake in the history of the series.

Injustice 3

It has been almost 10 years since the release of the superhero fighting game Injustice 2, but NetherRealm Studios has still not confirmed the development of a sequel. Despite insider rumors and leaks, the head of the studio, Ed Boon, recently stated that the developers are working on a new Mortal Kombat, without saying a word about Injustice. Nevertheless, considering the order of game releases in the franchises, the studio's next project should be a game about superhero battles, especially since it leaked in the resume of one of the Warner Bros. Star Wars: Jedi 3

Another project that has long been the subject of rumors is the new Star Wars: Jedi title from Respawn Entertainment. Early reports suggested that this would be the largest project in the franchise, and recently insider Tom Henderson not only speculated about a game announcement at Summer Game Fest but also revealed that the game will feature a time jump, allowing the main character, Cal Kestis, to be slightly older. Cronos: Lazarus

Bloober Team, a studio known for the remake of Silent Hill 2 and Cronos: The New Dawn, confirmed its participation in Summer Game Fest but did not reveal its plans—however, a leak did. Max Payne 1&2 Remake

A lot of fans were surprised that there was no place for Integalactic: The Heretic Prophet - a new IP from the developers of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog—at the recent State of Play event. Although we haven't heard official news about the game for a long time, its release is tentatively scheduled for 2027. Perhaps Sony intentionally didn't show the game at State of Play, preparing a surprise for the Summer Game Fest - at least, that's all we can hope for.

Marvel Games' Title (Titles)

Marvel's Wolverine became one of the highlights of State of Play, as Insomniac Games finally showed its gameplay and revealed a lot of new details. Nevertheless, this may not be the last project in the comic universe shown this week, as one insider reported - namely, that 4 games will be shown. Currently, several Marvel games are in development by different studios - Arkane Studios’ Marvel's Blade, Motive Studios’ Marvel's Iron Man, and Skydance New Media’s Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Considering that Marvel's Wolverine has already been shown, it is possible that it is these players who will get the attention.

Bonus: Half-Life 3

Almost no major gaming show goes without rumors about the announcement of Half-Life 3—and Summer Game Fest is no exception. However, it's not that simple here. Over the past couple of weeks, the show's host Geoff Keighley has repeatedly teased at the game's announcement, but what is especially important is that Half-Life 3 was allegedly supposed to be confirmed at The Game Awards 2025 —where Geoff Keighley was also the host.
