Insider Teasing Naughty Dog Will Release Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Next Year

One of the most anticipated games of the coming years and one of the most anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusives as well is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, from Naughty Dog (the studio behind Uncharted and The Last of Us). Since the game was announced in 2024, we’ve learned very little about the upcoming project, and its release date remains unknown.

It’s been more than once when we’ve heard that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be released in 2027, and this time the teaser comes from well-known gaming interviewer Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly. On his social media, he posted that he recently recorded interviews with several former Naughty Dog employees, which will apparently be released in 2027, when the game launches on PlayStation 5.

“Over the last month I have chatted with a number of former Naughty Dog devs about doing a review panel with them for Intergalactic in 2027 after it releases.

They are super keen!!”

Previously, an insider at TCMFGames had stated that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet would be released next year, noting that the game would also receive an upgrade for the PlayStation 6 once the console is released. There has been no official announcement from Sony or Naughty Dog regarding the project’s release date, but it could very well be revealed at the upcoming State of Play event scheduled for June 2—especially since the presentation promises to be a major event and will even be shown in select movie theaters across the U.S.

Speaking of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Troy Baker, who is playing one of the characters in the game, recently revealed that the upcoming project will be bigger than The Last of Us, and Tati Gabrielle, who plays the main character, Jordan A. Mun, has shared that she’s “super stoked” about it. Also, Tony Dalton previously described his experience as “nothing I've ever done in my life.”
