Four Marvel Video Games Are Rumored to Be Revealed This Week

As you know, several major gaming exhibitions are taking place this week, and one of them, State of Play, kicks off today. While Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games is the only title officially confirmed for the show so far, a new report suggests that we can expect several other announcements related to the comic book universe.

According to insider MrKelsGame, we can expect a showcase of four Marvel Universe titles this week. While it remains unclear whether these are previously announced or unconfirmed projects, it is speculated that Marvel's Wolverine is among them, with the other games slated to appear during the Summer Game Fest (June 5-8) or the Xbox Games Showcase (June 7).

Speaking of Insomniac Games, it is known that in addition to Marvel's Wolverine, the studio is working on at least two more projects: a Marvel's Venom spin-off and a third Marvel's Spider-Man title. According to a recent report, the Venom game will be released next year, and the third Spider-Man game in 2028 or 2029. However, the studio is unlikely to discuss them now, as the current focus is on Marvel's Wolverine, which is scheduled for release this September.

Nevertheless, there are other Marvel-themed titles currently in the works at various other studios. These include Arkane Studios’ Marvel's Blade, Motive Studios’ Marvel's Iron Man, and Skydance New Media’s Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. News on these projects has been sparse for some time, making the coming week an ideal opportunity to provide updates. Furthermore, recent rumors suggesting that Eidos Montreal may be developing a sequel to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy are also worth keeping in mind.

As for Marvel's Wolverine, it is expected that pre-orders for the game will open shortly after the State of Play presentation. The game is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 5, and its release is scheduled for September 15.
