Marvel’s Wolverine Pre-Orders Expected to Open Immediately After State of Play

In just a couple of days, another State of Play show from PlayStation will take place, where upcoming games are expected to be showcased, including those that have not yet been officially announced. So far, the only confirmed project that will appear at the event is Marvel's Wolverine - a PlayStation 5 exclusive from Insomniac Games.

Fans hope that the developers will present not only a new trailer for the game but also a full look at the gameplay of Marvel's Wolverine. Despite the fact that there are just over three months left until the game's release, it is still not possible to pre-order the game. But it seems that this will be fixed soon.

According to insider PyroMid, pre-orders for Marvel's Wolverine will become available immediately shortly after the game's presentation at State of Play (June 2), and game stands have already started appearing in retail stores.

In his subsequent post on X social media, insider also revealed the prices of various editions of Marvel's Wolverine—including the collector's edition and the Limited Edition DualSense Controller, as you can check out below:

Wolverine Prices & Editions:

  • Standard Edition - $69.99
  • Digital Deluxe Edition - $79.99
  • Collector’s Edition - $199.99 - $249.99
  • Wolverine Limited Edition Dualsense Controller $84.99

I don’t think they will do a Console but I could be wrong.

In addition to Marvel's Wolverine, Insomniac Games is also working on Marvel's Venom and Marvel's Spider-Man 3; both projects are not yet officially confirmed, but it is assumed that the spin-off about Venom could be released next year, and the Spider-Man sequel could come out in 2028 or 2029, and its release may coincide with the launch of PlayStation 6.

As for the upcoming Wolverine game itself, it was recently revealed that Marvel's Wolverine needs to sell at least 6 million copies in order to meet Sony's expectations. Otherwise, the company will be forced to cancel all upcoming plans for further development of games in the Marvel universe by Insomniac Games.
