Furthermore, it was revealed that the core plot of Marvel's Wolverine will center on saving young mutants from the hands of villains. Additionally, several characters from the Marvel universe were shown, including Jean Grey, Mystique, and Sabretooth, as well as the organization known as The Hand.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
Arc System Works confirmed that a new playable faction, the Knights of Doom, will be added to Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The roster will include Magneto, Green Goblin, Carnage, and Doctor Doom himself.
Rayman Legends: Retold
After numerous leaks, Ubisoft has officially announced a Rayman Legends remake titled Rayman Legends: Retold. The gameplay trailer showcases updated 3D graphics, new story content, and a host of other new features. The game releases on October 1st and is already available for pre-order.
Bancho the Chef
Mintrocket, the studio behind Dave the Diver, has announced Bancho the Chef —a prequel to the 2022 title that takes place 19 years before the events of the original game. The story centers on Bancho as he strives to master the culinary arts. The game's release date is currently unknown.
Kemuri: Hunt The Unseen
Indie studio Unseen has unveiled its new project titled Kemuri: Hunt The Unseen —a three-player cooperative action-adventure. The game’s core features include the ability to examine anomalous rifts to shift into other dimensions to battle enemies, as well as gaining their powers upon defeat. The game is scheduled for release in 2027.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Shortly before the show began, news surfaced that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis had been delayed until 2027 —a fact subsequently confirmed during the State of Play. Furthermore, Crystal Dynamics unveiled the game’s first look at actual gameplay; it appears highly impressive and truly on par with a modern-day remake. The game will officially launch on February 12, 2027.
The Lost Wild
Great Ape Games and Annapurna Interactive revealed more about a first-person horror game titled The Lost Wild. The game's key hook is its setting; the protagonist, Saskia, must hide from various species of dinosaurs that exhibit hyper-realistic and often ruthless behavior. The release is scheduled for 2027.
Phantom Blade Zero
S-Game showed a new trailer for their upcoming project, Phantom Blade Zero, which is heavily inspired by FromSoftware titles. The game is set for release this September.
Dune Awakening
Funcom has confirmed that Dune: Awakening will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this September. A new story trailer for the game has also been released.
Dynasty Warrior 3: Complete Edition Remastered
A remastered version of Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition has been unexpectedly revealed. Koei Tecmo confirmed that the updated game will include new story content and a free mode, further announcing that it will launch on October 1st for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Switch 2.
No Rest for the Wicked
Moon Studios has presented a new trailer for their upcoming RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, and confirmed that the game will leave early access this October.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
While Capcom didn't show anything regarding Resident Evil at the State of Play, the studio did have something else in store—Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Specifically, a new trailer was revealed, confirming the game’s release date of September 25. Additionally, the developers announced that a demo version of the game is available now and that pre-orders are officially open.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Just like with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a leak has happened to Silent Hill: Townfall, as the ESRB website rated it 17+ Mature shortly before the State of Play event. As a result, the new gameplay trailer was showcased during the presentation, and the release date was confirmed for September 24.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
Bandai Namco unveiled a new trailer for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve and confirmed that the game will be released on October 2. Additionally, the studio announced that players who pre-order the game will receive Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.
Stuntman Hollywood
While it initially appeared that Saber Interactive was making a Fast & Furious video game, it turned out to be Stuntman Hollywood—a title where you take on the role of a stunt performer, participating in various scenes for a Hollywood movie. The trailer features references to works such as Back to the Future, Miami Vice, Death Race, and the aforementioned Fast & Furious.
ILL
ILL, developed by Team Clout, was another horror title featured at State of Play. The developers shared a story trailer, though the release date remains unknown.
Control Resonant
Remedy Entertainment also weighed in by showcasing a new trailer for their upcoming and largest project to date, Control Resonant. As the trailer revealed, this sequel to the 2019 game will see the return of the original protagonist and the lead character's sister, Jesse, with a release date of September 24—matching the launch of Silent Hill: Townfall. Furthermore, the game is already available for pre-order on all platforms.
Marathon
Bungie has also checked in to share a trailer for the second season of their online shooter, Marathon.
PlayStation Plus Game Catalog Update
It was also announced that several games will be joining the PlayStation Plus subscription service. These include RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which will be available to all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members upon its console release later this year, as well as additions to the Classics Catalog: Gitaroo Man (June 2026), PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (July 2026), and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (August 2026).
Until Dawn 2
Following years of rumors, Sony has officially announced a sequel to the horror title Until Dawn, currently in development at Firesprite. While not a direct narrative follow-up, the game shifts the setting from a snow-covered ski resort to a tropical island, featuring a new cast of characters embroiled in a ghost-hunting expedition. True to the Until Dawn legacy, the game features intense encounters and impactful, choice-driven gameplay, with confirmation that player decisions will dictate whether every character survives or meets a gruesome end. The release is scheduled for 2027, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
God of War Laufey
The final title showcased during State of Play was a new God of War entry; as predicted by numerous insiders, it is a spin-off focused on the character Faye. Santa Monica Studio presented over 20 minutes of gameplay for God of War: Laufey, confirming that the story takes place immediately following the opening scene of God of War (2018), albeit with a twist. Following her cremation, Faye awakens in a mysterious realm inhabited by higher deities, and she is determined to escape in order to return to Kratos and Atreus. Incidentally, the franchise's iconic protagonist also makes an appearance in the trailer.
The developers promise that in God of War Laufey, Faye will encounter various divine beings that will significantly expand the franchise's lore. An improved combat system was also showcased. Faye has a two-handed sword at her disposal, as well as the ability to literally "knock" the souls out of her enemies. The game does not yet have a release date.
