Hogwarts Legacy 2 Will Feature Multiplayer Elements and Locations from Harry Potter Films

Hogwarts Legacy 2 is confirmed to be in development at Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Games, although the game is still not announced yet. However, recent rumors suggest the long-awaited title will be revealed soon and could be launched somewhere in 2027.

Specifically, one of the reliable gaming insiders about Harry Potter universe, PotterWorldwide, shared that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will be officially announced “soon” and is considered to be released next year, without further details. This also coincides with the fact that the developers (Avalanche Software) recently hired a new community manager —something they did before the official announcement of the original game. Now, several sources are reporting additional details about Hogwarts Legacy 2: specifically, early rumors have been confirmed that the game will feature not only Quidditch but also multiplayer elements and that the game’s storyline will be intertwined with the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series for HBO - they might even exist in the same universe.

Also, it’s been reported that players will be able to visit some iconic locations from Harry Potter lore - Privet Drive, Diagon Alley, and even the streets of London. A full announcement is expected at Summer Game Fest (June 5–8), with the game set to launch in early 2027, shortly after the release of the first season of the Harry Potter series.

For now, Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software haven’t revealed anything about Hogwarts Legacy, so these reports should be considered with a grain of salt.
