Avalanche Software Might Be Teasing Hogwarts Legacy 2

Avalanche Software is confirmed to be working on the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy. Although the game is not announced yet, Warner Bros. is believed to be working on the title alongside Avalanche Software, with the announcement expected to happen in the near future.

Moreover, the latest update from Avalanche Software itself might be teasing an imminent announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2. The studio has announced on X social media that they hired the new Community Manager for Hogwarts Legacy named Cody (or Vaknar). He also shared more information on his Reddit page, which you can check out below:

Hi everyone! I'm Cody, but you can call me Vaknar. I’m honoured to share that I recently joined Avalanche Software as the new Community Manager. TL; DR: I'm here to be the bridge between Avalanche and you, the Hogwarts Legacy community.

First things first, who is this guy? Well, I’m a midwestern boy but I've been living in Southern California for a few years. Enjoying frequent beach days and catching the occasional wave whenever possible. I’ve been a community manager in gaming for several years, and, of course, I’m a Harry Potter fan! I grew up reading the books, waiting outside the theaters for each movie release, and now I’m ecstatic to be a part of the Hogwarts Legacy team!

I'll be honest, Hogwarts Legacy really pulled me into the wizarding world, and the further in I got, the harder it was to put down. I won’t pretend that I’m an expert quite yet, but I think I'm well on my way! Between the game, the lore rabbit holes, and this community… I reckon it won't be long before I can rattle off obscure trivia tidbits without thinking twice.

I’ve only just started, and while I'm still finding my footing, my goal is straightforward: to make this a space easily worth showing up to. That means celebrating the amazing things you're creating, making sure your voices and feedback reach the right people, and keeping things welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

When I'm not kicking back in the Hufflepuff common room, you'll find me lurking in conversations, listening, interacting with the community and probably asking a lot of questions — I’m very interested in hearing what players think about the game. What’s more important is that before the announcement of the original title, the studio also hired a community manager, and in a few months the game was revealed at PlayStation’s State of Play in 2020. According to the rumors, the next State of Play presentation will take place on April 16, and considering Hogwarts Legacy 2 has been in development for a while, we can't rule out the possibility of a game’s announcement—if State of Play is indeed scheduled for this month.

Previous reports also suggested the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy might be released shortly after the premiere of a new TV show based on Harry Potter for HBO—somewhere between January and April of 2027. We still don’t know yet whether Hogwarts Legacy will be a single-player title or include some multiplayer elements. But fans are hopeful the game will have a possibility to play Quidditch—something that wasn’t in the original game.
