Insider Rogue Revealed a Lot of Details About Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe—Including Price, Editions, and More
Over the past week, new rumors about Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe—the next main installment in the series, announced back in 2022—have surfaced. In particular, reliable Ubisoft insider and leaker Rogue, who recently confirmed that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced includes a teaser for the game, has now shared several new details. In a new report, he decided to delight fans with a lot more information about the upcoming project.
In his first post, Rogue revealed that Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe is scheduled for release in June 2027. The game will have a PEGI 18 rating and will be available in three editions—Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's—priced at $69.99, $89.99, and $119.99, respectively. It will also feature the Denuvo anti-piracy protection system. The in-game map will be fully open, featuring several large villages, forested areas, and other locations. In terms of movement and gameplay, Codename Hexe is said to feel more like the older titles in the franchise while still introducing some fresh elements. According to Rogue, Codename Hexe will have a darker atmosphere and will technically surpass Assassin's Creed Shadows in visual quality. Additionally, all magical elements have been removed from this installment, though they are expected to appear in some "different form." Furthermore, the insider mentioned that Codename Hexe will reintroduce the fear system from the Jack the Ripper DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, with significant improvements. This system will affect NPC behavior, causing them to panic or miss shots when using firearms. Ubisoft has also reworked the sound design in Codename Hexe, particularly making it harder to identify sounds coming from behind walls.
