On September 12, HoYoverse will hold an official livestream dedicated to Genshin Impact 7.1, the game’s latest update, during which three more new promo codes will be revealed. They will be valid until the next morning. How to Redeem Codes in Genshin Impact

If you’ve never redeemed a Genshin Impact promo code before, make sure your account has reached level 10; otherwise, you won’t be able to do so. If you do have one, you can redeem it via the official HoYoverse website or directly in the game.

As for the website option, go to the site, log in to your HoYoverse account, and select your server—Europe, America, Asia, or TW/HK/MO. Once you have entered your character’s name, you can enter the desired promo code and click 'Activate,' after which the bonuses will be credited to your account.

Moreover, if you’re already playing Genshin Impact, go to the Paimon menu, then Settings > Account > Redeem Code. You can enter the code manually or copy and paste it, then tap 'Exchange.' Also, if you’re playing on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, your PSN account must be linked to your HoYoverse account to redeem promo codes on the website—otherwise, you can only redeem promo codes in Genshin Impact within the game itself.

Genshin Impact Rewards Explained

There are six main types of in-game rewards in Genshin Impact: Currency & Wishes, Experience & Account Progress, Character Development Materials, Weapon & Artifact Materials, Consumables & Food, and Gadgets & Furnishings. Each of these is further divided into separate subcategories.

Currency & Wishes category includes Primogems (premium in-game currency, which must also be converted into Wishes—the equivalent of loot boxes), Mora (the main in-game currency required for any upgrades), Intertwined Fate (special Wishes that grant access to event characters and weapons), Acquaint Fate (standard Wishes that can only be spent in the standard banner—Wanderlust Invocation), Masterless Starglitter (cashback awarded for obtaining duplicate rare characters and weapons), and Masterless Stardust (cashback awarded for obtaining any three-digit weapon). Experience & Account Progress is divided into Adventure EXP (experience points that increase your Adventure Rank and World Level) and Companionship EXP (points used to increase the friendship level with characters in your active squad).

Character Development Materials contain items designed to enhance your heroes' stats. These include Character EXP (special scrolls for leveling up heroes), Character Ascension Materials, and Character Talent Materials. Character EXP, in turn, is divided into Hero’s Wit (a purple book that grants 20,000 EXP), Adventurer’s Experience (a red book that grants 5,000 EXP), and Wanderer’s Advice (a gray book that grants 1,000 EXP). Character Ascension Materials include Silver, Fragment, Chunk, and Gemstone, while Character Talent Materials include Domains (special talent books from dungeons) and Trounce Domains (materials from weekly bosses that grant skills for leveling up).

Weapon & Artifact Materials contains resources for upgrading combat gear equipped on characters. This category is divided into Enhancement Ore (a material that grants experience to level up weapons), Weapon Ascension Materials (special items from dungeons required to overcome weapon level caps), and Sanctifying Unction (concentrated vials of experience for quickly leveling up artifacts). Enhancement Ore is also divided into Mystic (pink ore that grants 10,000 experience points), Fine (blue ore that grants 2,000 experience points), and Regular (gray ore that grants 400 experience points).

Consumables & Food are single-use items that disappear after being activated. These include Fragile Resin (a crescent-shaped item that restores 60 units of Original Resin), Transient Resin (similar to Fragile Resin, which you can purchase at the Serenitea Pot), and Food & Recipes (ready-to-eat dishes that can be cooked over a campfire using recipes you’ve found or purchased). The latter is further divided into Recovery Dishes (which instantly heal injured characters or revive those killed in battle), Attack-Boosting/ Defense-Boosting Dishes (which grant a bonus to critical damage, attack power, or defense for 300 seconds), and Adventurer’s Dishes (which reduce stamina consumption while running, flying, and climbing or instantly restore the stamina bar).

Finally, Gadgets & Furnishings are items designed for exploring the world and customizing your personal space. This category is divided into Gadgets (equipable items that remain permanently in your inventory) and Furnishing Blueprints (various items for decorating the Serenitea Pot—furniture, buildings, and interior decor).
