Fortnite's DC Summer Event Starts July 16 With Batman-Themed Content

Epic Games is set to launch the Hot Bat DC Summer Event in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 on July 16, introducing new DC-themed gameplay, cosmetics, and rewards. The event will become available after the scheduled game update, with servers expected to return online at approximately 10:00 UTC following maintenance.

One of the headline additions is the arrival of the Batman Sprite, expanding the season's Sprite mechanics with a DC-inspired collectible. Players can also expect several other new Sprites, including Air, Seven, and Cube variants.

The update adds the Batman Grapnel Gun, introducing another mobility-focused item to the loot pool.

The in-game shop will receive multiple DC-themed cosmetics, including Batman Summer, Harley Quinn Summer, Catwoman Summer, Poison Ivy Summer, and the Bat Hound Sidekick. Epic is also expected to introduce the Batmobile Car Body, although its unlock method has not yet been officially confirmed.

In addition to the new cosmetics, the event includes Part 3 Mastery Milestone Rewards, giving players more progression objectives throughout the collaboration.

The DC Summer Event continues Fortnite's expanding lineup of crossover content. Earlier this season, Epic Games introduced Sprite Extraction mechanics and the Exfil gameplay system, with the July 16 update building on those features through another major themed event.
