Fortnite Leak Points to a "Gaming Legends" Season With Persona, Sonic, and Kingdom Hearts
Fortnite leakers SamLeakss and HYPEX say Persona is headed to Chapter 7's Season 4, with HYPEX backing SamLeakss's original claim. The season is shaping up as something bigger than one crossover: Sonic the Hedgehog, Kingdom Hearts, Mega Man, and Crash Bandicoot are all rumored for the same lineup, which would make Persona one piece of a much larger licensing push rather than a standalone deal.
Specific Persona content has started to leak too. SamLeakss described a possible Joker battle pass skin, a Morgana back bling, and weapons pulled from Joker's arsenal in Persona 5, all pending confirmation from Epic. Epic hasn't announced anything, and no official skin list exists yet.
The leak also carries a claim that hasn't shown up anywhere else yet: Persona will reportedly cross over with Rocket League at the same time, with free rewards from that event transferring into Fortnite. No other coverage of the same rumor mentions Rocket League, which means the tie-in rests on a single source until another leaker confirms it.
That gap matters given the history here. A March 2024 leak from insider iFireMonkey made nearly identical claims, naming a specific new weapon, the Cerberus Shotgun, tied to a Persona crossover for Chapter 5 Season 2. None of it shipped, and a later report said Sega had put the deal on hold over concerns about competing with its own upcoming "Super Game" project. SamLeakss and HYPEX corroborating each other now doesn't erase that record, though two independent leakers agreeing carries more weight than the single-source rumor that stalled two years ago.
Persona's own crossover history backs up the idea that Atlus keeps this pipeline running regardless of what Fortnite ships. Call of Duty: Mobile's Persona 5 Royal event launched July 1 with four operator skins built around Joker, Panther, Queen, and Violet, plus a Persona-themed Plunder mode. Overwatch 2 ran its own tie-in last year: five Persona 5 legendary skins arrived in Overwatch 2 in September 2025, pairing Wuyang with Joker, Mercy with Panther, and three more character swaps. None of that confirms the Fortnite leak, but it shows a franchise that keeps signing multi-game crossovers rather than treating any single one as an exception.
The free Odysseus skin from the Christopher Nolan movie tournament just wrapped July 15-16, a Batman-themed DC Summer event launched the following day, and Marvel Battle Pass skins returned to the shop the same week. Epic is already running three licensed tie-ins at once heading into the back half of the season.
I'd treat the character list as the real test here, since names and skins are what separates a leak from a guess. A Gaming Legends season built around five franchises at once tracks with where Epic has spent its calendar all summer, and I think the Rocket League claim needs a second source before anyone should bank on it, given how the last Persona rumor died on a single unverified leak. Season 4 doesn't start for a while yet, which gives Epic plenty of room to confirm or quietly drop the whole thing before players notice either way.
