Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Launch On Steam Already Brought Ubisoft $35 Million of Revenue

Last week, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced—the long-anticipated remake of the original 2013 game. For anyone who still has doubts about whether the project was a success for the developers, a new analytical report confirms that the game has become the most successful installment in the franchise on Steam and has already generated significant profit for the studio.

Rhys Elliott, a representative of the analytics firm Alinea Analytics, recently published a detailed report on Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced's performance on Steam. Within just five days of its release, the game sold over 700,000 copies, generating $35 million in revenue. Moreover, it managed to earn $1 million from cosmetic DLC sales alone, with the total cost of these extras exceeding that of the game's Deluxe Edition, which left a lot of fans outraged. As a result, Black Flag Resynced achieved the best launch in the franchise's entire history on Steam.
