Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Reached 100,000 Players on Steam by Setting All-Time Franchise Record

Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, the franchise's first-ever remake, on July 9, and it's now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. With each passing day, it's becoming clear that the game has been a significant success for the French company.

According to updated data from SteamDB, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has broken another record for the highest number of concurrent players, which now stands at 104,756. When the game launched on Steam on July 9, it had already set a franchise record by surpassing 99,451 players, significantly outdoing the previous record holder, Assassin's Creed Shadows, which had 64,825 concurrent players. The remake has now become the first game in the franchise's history to attract over 100,000 simultaneous players on Steam, marking an impressive milestone.

However, this isn't the only record Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has broken in the past few hours. Not long ago, it was revealed that the game held the highest user rating in the series' history on Metacritic. However, according to updated information, the situation has changed, and the current rating stands at 8.7—the same as Assassin's Creed II. Nevertheless, until quite recently, the remake still held the record in this category as well.

Not only that, but the game also managed to sell 2 million copies across all platforms within the first 24 hours of its release. This could lead to even more enhanced versions of older titles in the franchise being launched in the coming years—including a remake of the original 2007 Assassin's Creed—especially since Ubisoft has already teased such plans.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Recently, some players have also uncovered a possible teaser for Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe, the next mainline game in the series, announced in 2022.
