PlayStation 6 is Expected to Be Launched Next Year and Will Be 5x More Powerful Than PS5 Pro
It’s been a busy week for Sony. The company has officially decided to move away from releasing their exclusive titles on PC. Moreover, with the announcement of new Xbox console Project Helix, some new details of Sony’s PlayStation 6 have been shared.
Specifically, gaming insider and YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead has revealed more information on PlayStation 6 during his latest stream, where he also shared some specifications and the price of Project Helix. Speaking on PlayStation 6, he reveals Sony is looking to release the console in the second quarter of 2027, with the delay to early 2028 remaining possible. Despite previous rumors that Sony is planning to delay the release of PlayStation 6 because RAM prices are rising, according to Moore’s Law is Dead, Sony has spent a lot of money on 3nm manufacturing allotment, and “paying extra for RAM is not worth delaying something.”
He also stated PlayStation 6 will allow play to run the games in 4K and 120 FPS; the console is reportedly expected to be about 3-6x more powerful in terms of using ray tracing performance than PlayStation 5 Pro. It is also claimed the newest console will probably use an even more advanced system of scaling than PSSR 2.
If this report is true, 2027 will be another battle between Sony and Microsoft, as the companies will present their next-gen consoles.
