Nintendo Announced Two Nintendo Direct Presentations Scheduled for Next Week

Nintendo has officially confirmed there will be not one, but two Nintendo Direct presentations next week—and one of them will be dedicated to the company's flagship franchise, The Legend of Zelda—so fans have already started speculating about what is likely to be shown during the event.

The company has confirmed that a 30-minute presentation titled The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct will take place on September 8 to mark the franchise’s anniversary, as the original game was released back in February 1986. It is highly likely that gameplay footage from the Ocarina of Time remake, announced this summer, will be shown, and an official release date will probably be announced as well. The following day, the company will host another Nintendo Direct—a 45-minute event focused on upcoming titles for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Speaking about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the upcoming remake of the 1998 game, rumors had previously been circulating that it might be released a week before GTA 6. Strangely enough, just a few hours before Nintendo’s official announcement, the Swedish retailer Retrospelbutiken revealed that The Ocarina of Time remake would be released on November 12, confirming the previous reports. The page also lists a price of 849 Swedish krona (89 US dollars)—and this information is still available on the website.

In any case, we should find out all the details about this in a few days, and who knows—maybe Nintendo still has some surprises in store related to the franchise.
