Pearl Abyss Released New Update for Crimson Desert, Patch Notes Version 2.01.00

Pearl Abyss continues rolling out regular updates for Crimson Desert. The latest patch, released a few days ago, is once again focused on improving core aspects of the game, combat, visuals, and more, without adding any new content.

As revealed on the developers' official site, Patch Notes Version 2.01.00 fixes a number of technical bugs and improves visuals during rain scenes in Crimson Desert. You can check out the main highlights of the patch below:

• Fixed an issue where furniture would spawn without the house at Greymane Camp.
• Fixed an issue where the actual amount of resources required to complete camp donation missions was lower than the displayed amount.
• Added "Gold Bar Investment Mission" as a new dispatch mission.
• Improved the photo mode to allow the camera to be tilted.
• Fixed an issue where the UI would not display correctly in certain situations.
• Improved an issue where visual noise was particularly noticeable in rainy weather and around puddles.
• Fixed an issue where placing outdoor furniture would cause frame rates to drop near fences.

The bigger Crimson Desert news this week, though, isn't the update; it's the DLC officially revealed during State of Play. Pearl Abyss showed off the first trailer for Charting the Unknown, the game's first major expansion, bringing a host of new features to the RPG. The trailer shows water travel via your own ship, players will also be able to explore underwater areas, pursue romances, and construct large-scale structures like castles and outposts. Charting the Unknown launches October 15 across all platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
