Insider Revealed More About Marvel’s Venom and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

While gaming studios stay tight-lipped about future projects, including ones not even officially announced, insiders are increasingly the ones filling in the gaps. This time it's NateTheHate, who recently correctly predicted what would show up at State of Play, sharing some thoughts on two upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusives.

As usual, fans on X send him questions about upcoming games, and he responds when he has something to share. This time, he was asked about Marvel's Venom, Insomniac's not-yet-announced project, and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Naughty Dog's new IP. On Venom, NateTheHate confirmed development is still ongoing, though he doesn't know when the game will be officially revealed, as you can check out below:

Venom is very much still in development upon last check. As to when it'll be announced, I don't know.

There had been rumors Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet might show up at the recent State of Play, even with talk of a first gameplay reveal, but that didn't happen. According to NateTheHate, the game’s reveal will most likely land in December at The Game Awards instead, mirroring how the game was first announced back in 2024, though a lot depends on where development currently stands. The game's still expected sometime in the second half of 2027.

Do you think Intergalactic gets shown off at The Game Awards or do you think they wait till next year?

TGA makes since to me, if they intend to show it again in 2026. Given the game is slated for, hopefully, second half 2027 release… they may choose to wait until an SoP in early 2027; but I'd say it all depends on development flow.

Meanwhile, new details about Marvel's Venom have also surfaced recently, allegedly from someone at Insomniac. In a Reddit post, he shared detailed thoughts on the game's gameplay and touched on the story, technical specs, and release window. However, none of this is confirmed, so it's worth taking with a grain of salt.
