Keeper, Rhapsody, Daba, Dino Crisis 2, Until Dawn 2 – NateTheHate Teases What Games to Expect at State of Play

In just a few hours, State of Play—a new presentation hosted by Sony—will take place, and it’s highly likely that we’ll see both previously confirmed projects and brand-new announcements. Fans are already speculating about which potential projects might be featured, and one reliable gaming insider may have revealed some of the confirmed games.

Users discovered that a dispute had broken out on the X social media platform between the well-known insider NateTheHate and one of the users. The user believes that NateTheHate has long since lost his status as a reliable insider, and NateTheHate responded as follows: if the three games he names appear on State of Play, the user twiterborne9696—who started the discussion—will have to buy them for the insider. As a result, NateTheHate posted a list of the following games—Keeper, Rhapsody, Daba, Dino Crisis 2, and Until Dawn 2—as you can check out below:

The list is intriguing for several reasons, and perhaps the biggest name on it is Until Dawn 2. The game was announced this summer, and NateTheHate recently hinted it could be featured in today’s State of Play, since its release is set for 2027—and is scheduled for an earlier date than Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which is rumored to launch in the summer or autumn of that same year. The insider also mentions Dino Crisis 2—which makes sense, considering that the first game is available on PlayStation 5, and this is not, yet, a remake from Capcom—although rumors that the original game was getting one have regularly surfaced. Daba—or, more precisely, DaBa: Land of Water Scar—is an upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive action RPG/soulslike, announced in 2023 and developed by Dark Star. As for Keeper and Rhapsody, there are some interesting details.

Keeper is a game from Double Fine Productions that was released last year and is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X/S. Given that the studio officially separated from Xbox following a restructuring of the division this July, there is a chance that Sony might announce the acquisition of Double Fine and the release of Keeper on PlayStation 5.

The situation with Rhapsody is even more fascinating. The original game was released on PlayStation way back in 1998; Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is a JRPG reminiscent of Disney animated films, as it centers on love and friendship and features various music and dance sequences. The game has spawned various sequels and spin-offs, and it will be extremely interesting to see what Sony has in store for the franchise if an announcement does indeed take place—whether it will be a full-fledged new installment or a remake.
