Capcom is currently known to be working on Resident Evil Veronica—a remake of the 2000’s original title, announced at this year's Summer Game Fest last month. Rumors also suggest the studio is developing a Resident Evil Zero remake, set for 2028, and a remake of the very first game in the series. But there's another enhanced version fans are eagerly anticipating that Capcom hasn't officially announced—and it's not even from the same franchise.

We're talking about Dino Crisis, a survival-horror title released in 1999, made by the same team behind Resident Evil—except instead of zombies, dinosaurs are the enemies. Last month, an insider citing Team Biohazard—a reliable source with a connection to Capcom—reported that a Dino Crisis remake has been in development since 2022, with an announcement possibly coming around 2028–2029. As Team Biohazard points out, they'd previously reported that Resident Evil Veronica would be officially announced at Summer Game Fest—which is exactly what happened, giving the insider a reason to believe. It's also worth noting that during a recent Q&A with fans, Resident Evil producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi declined to answer questions about a Dino Crisis remake, though he did admit he "knows the answer." If Capcom does announce a remake of the 1999 game in 2028 or 2029, that would likely put the release somewhere around 2030.

For now, Capcom hasn’t shared anything related to the Dino Crisis remake, so this report should be considered a rumor.
