Capcom Teasing Dino Crisis Remake Might Be Secretly In Works

Last week, during the Summer Game Fest presentation, Capcom finally revealed the long-rumored remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The game now has a slightly shortened title— Resident Evil Veronica —but it is expected to be much more ambitious than the original and is scheduled for release in 2027.

While fans are eagerly discussing the details of the Code Veronica remake, Capcom has hinted that the studio is secretly developing a remake of another highly anticipated game—Dino Crisis, which has been surrounded by rumors for a long time. Recently, Capcom held a private Q&A session where Resident Evil producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi was asked about the potential revival of Dino Crisis. He responded as follows:

“I have no comment, even though I know the answer”

The last installment of Dino Crisis, Dino Crisis 3, was released way back in 2003. Considering how successful the Resident Evil remakes have been—both financially and in terms of improving various aspects of the game, such as expanding the storyline and adding new features—it seems likely that Dino Crisis remakes could become equally successful projects.

Besides the reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, last week Capcom also announced that their upcoming RPG, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, will release this September.
