Team Liquid parts ways with VALORANT coach
European esports organization Team Liquid has decided to part ways with the VALORANT roster coach. Sliggy spoke about this on his Twitter, citing the difference in vision for the future of the team.
I left the team after the tournament in Iceland due to the difference in vision and direction within the team. I want to thank Team Liquid for all the support the organization has given me and all the fans, you were amazing. I have some of the best memories with the guys and I learned a lot.
As for the future, I'm going to take a short break. I'm still on the Team Liquid club and I'll start streaming again next week. Thank you all again.
Sliggy took over Team Liquid in the summer of 2020 when the European club signed the fish123 roster. For almost two years, the British specialist helped the team win VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2, VCT 2021: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier and Red Bull Home Ground #2, and also get into the top three at Allied Esports Odyssey, BLAST Twitch Invitational, Red Bull Home Ground, VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 2 and VALORANT Champions 2021.
In addition, together with Sliggy, the team took fourth place in the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík and VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, and also made it to the playoffs of VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík.
Currently, the European team is preparing to start at VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. In the first round of the competition, Team Liquid will play with the BIG team.
From now on, Team Liquid's VALORANT roster is as follows:
- soulcas.
- L1NK.
- ScreaM.
