David Denis stepped down as T1 coach
South Korean esports organization T1 has announced roster changes for VALORANT, parting ways with coach David Denis. Recall that the Canadian specialist led the team since February last year. Possibly, the reason for parting with the coach was the poor results at the start of the new season.
Today we say goodbye to David Denis, who was the head coach of the T1 VALORANT roster. Thank you for contributing to this journey with us and recognizing the importance of mental health in esports. Good luck, David!
David Denis took over at T1 early last year, having moved from TSM. In 15 months, the Canadian specialist helped the team win NSG: Summer Championship - Open 2, get into the top three at NSG: Winter Championship - Open 14 and Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: March, and also take 5th-6th place at VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2.
However, under the leadership of David Denis, the team failed the start of the new season, effectively depriving themselves of the opportunity to go to VALORANT Champions 2022 in September. As a result, the North American team did not qualify for VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers.
From now on, the T1 roster for VALORANT is as follows:
- curry.
- thwifo.
- steel.
- pwny.
- Stunner (assistant coach).
- exuhz (analyst).
