Sentinels and T1 say goodbye to VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo
Teams Sentinels and T1 were defeated in the first round of the Omega Bracket at VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, as a result of which they were eliminated from the competition. In turn, the fnatic and FURIA teams won confident victories, thus making it to the next round of the championship, where they will face a face-to-face meeting.
Sentinels-fnatic
The opening match of the gaming day began on the Haven map, which turned out to be the choice of the European team. At the same time, fnatic players quickly took control of the situation, managing to block the opponent's attack. In turn, the North Americans did not come up with anything for the attack, limiting themselves to only three rounds - 9:3. After the switchover, the Sentinels didn't join the fight, while fnatic confidently finished playing in attack and took the lead in the series — 13:6.
Then the teams moved to the Split map, which became the choice of the Sentinels. Here it all started in a tough fight, because now the North American team managed to take a series of rounds and get a draw before the switchover — 6:6. However, in the second half, Sentinels disappeared from the radar, falling in defense. At the same time, fnatic played a great attacking side to finish off a wounded opponent and get the first victory in the championship — 13:7.
T1 - FURIA
The final meeting of the game day started on the Pearl map, which became the choice of the South Korean team. Here, T1 players still tried to impose the initiative, but the Brazilians managed to hold out and brought the matter to a draw - 6:6. However, after the side switch, the intrigue quickly died, as FURIA opened up in defense and quickly ran forward, closing the opponent's pick in their favor — 13:7.
The teams then moved to the Icebox map, which turned out to be FURIA's choice. And again, the first half was held in an equal fight, since the South Korean team played well for the attack and took five rounds - 7:5. Nevertheless, after the side switch, T1 again disappeared from the radar, while the FURIA players had an exemplary half in the attack and quickly brought the matter to a victorious end - 13:5.
