T1 became the winner of Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Open 2
Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Open 2 came to an end tonight. At the championship, which was held online from April 18 to 19, 32 North American teams fought for a prize pool of $2,500, as well as rating points in the NSG Summer Championship table. The winner of the tournament was the T1 team, which beat Knights Academy 2:0 in the grand final (Icebox - 13:6; Breeze - 14:12).
As part of the event, the wards of David Denis alternately defeated Built By Gamers Academy (2:0), Team Reckaroo (2:1) and Zero MarksMen Black (2:0), thus making it to the grand final. In the final match of the tournament, T1 confidently outplayed Knights Academy (2:0), thanks to which they earned $1,250 and 800 rating points.
Note that thanks to this victory, T1 rose to second place in the Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship table. At the same time, the leader is still XSET, which has 1,600 points.
