Wardell may join Version1
According to insider George Geddes, North American esports organization Version1 has been thinking about a makeover for their VALORANT roster while recently training with Wardell. The 23-year-old Canadian esportsman replaced wippie in the line-up, whose place he should take in the short term. At the same time, it is noted that the Russian may encounter difficulties in moving around the world, which is why his future in the composition remains uncertain.
Wardell has spent the past two years with TSM, winning multiple championships with them including the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, FaZe Clan Invitational, Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series, VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2 and Knights Arena Monthly Gauntlet 2022: February, as well as a top three finisher at the PAX Arena Invitational and First Strike North America.
However, at the end of last month, TSM officially parted ways with the esportsman, who was the founder of the original composition of the North American club.
Interestingly, after leaving TSM, the candidacy of the Canadian showed some interest from leading teams, including 100 Thieves. However, after a few days, it became clear that 100 Thieves had no plans to sign Wardell, choosing other artists.
The next tournament for Version1 should be VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, which the team has yet to qualify through open qualifiers.
The likely roster of Version1 by VALORANT is as follows:
- effys.
- penny.
- Zellsis.
- Zander.
- Wardell (stand-in).
- Immi (head coach).
- wippie (inactive).
