Developers of Life is Strange: Reunion Shared New Details Via Q&A Session
It’s almost time for Life is Strange: Reunion—the final chapter in the story of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, as the game releases at the end of this month. Less than two weeks remain until the game’s launch, and the developers have continued to share more details about the upcoming adventure.
Deck Nine has decided to make another Q&A session on X social media about Life is Strange: Reunion. This week, they confirmed the game will have multiple endings, and the newest reports give more information about the duration of Reunion, how collectibles work in the game, the soundtrack, and more. You can check out all the information below:
How do collectibles work?
Max and Chloe have their own unique collectibles:
- ·Max collects photographs.
- ·Chloe creates sketches inspired by key moments and environments.
Each set of collectibles has its own dedicated achievement/trophy.
As in previous Life is Strange titles, players can revisit completed scenes via Scene Select to find any missed collectibles, without restarting the game or overwriting their current save. Scenes containing collectibles are clearly marked, making it easier for completionists to achieve
What happens if you fail a backtalk encounter as Chloe?
‘Failing’ a Backtalk encounter is never a blocker to progression. Instead, it opens up alternative dialogue paths, consequences, and character moments.
In true Life is Strange fashion, there is no simple “fail state”, only different outcomes.
On a meta level, players can replay scenes after competion if they wish to explore these different outcomes. But within the story, Chloe’s choices, just like Max’s carry weight. Their decisions affect each other in meaningful ways, heightening tension and emotional stakes throughout.
Have you worked with any familiar faces for the Life is Strange: Reunion soundtrack?
Music remains central to the identity of Life is Strange. We’re delighted to confirm that we’ve once again partnered with Feel For Music, who have helped shape the franchise’s musical identity since the beginning.
The soundtrack will feature commercially licensed tracks, all-new original songs, and a full instrumental score. Players have already heard Tessa Rose Jackson’s original tack “Past Life” in the Announce Trailer and preview content.
We’re looking forward to revealing the full tracklist and additional contributors soon.
Will there be graphics and performance modes on console?
Yes. On console, players will be able to choose between graphics and performance modes, allowing them to prioritize either visual fidelity or frame rate based on their preference.
More details platform-specific information will be shared closer to launch.
How big is Reunion? How long is a playthrough?
Life is Strange: Reunion is comparable to Life is Strange: Double Exposure or Life is Strange: True Colors.
While playtime will vary depending on player choices and exploration, we anticipate that many players will want to experience the story multiple times.
With branching Chloe content from the very beginning and narrative variation throughout, there are meaningful incentives to replay the full game, not just the ending.
Perhaps, the most interesting part here is the duration of Life is Strange: Reunion. According to Deck Nine, the game’s length will be similar to previous installments like True Colors and Double Exposure. For instance, the duration of Life is Strange: True Colors is about 10-13 hours, and Life is Strange: Double Exposure – 11-15 hours. Let’s also not forget Life is Strange: Reunion will not have episode/chapters feature, as was previously confirmed by developers as well.
Besides new Life is Strange video game, Amazon is working on game series’ TV show. It will adapt the event of 2015’s Life is Strange original video game. Tatum Grace Hopkins is confirmed to play Max Caulfield, while Maisy Stella has been cast as her bestie, Chloe Price. The start of production and release date for the show remains unknown.
Life is Strange: Reunion released on March 26 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
