Supercell Launches Farewell Event for Squad Busters Ahead of 2026 Shutdown

Supercell has announced a special farewell event for Squad Busters, rewarding all players with exclusive crossover items across the studio’s most popular titles. The rewards — based on each player’s total playtime in Squad Busters — can be claimed through the Supercell Store, marking a final celebration of the game before its shutdown.

Squad Busters to Shut Down in Mid-2026

Supercell confirmed that Squad Busters will receive its final update in December 2025, with servers officially closing sometime in mid-2026. As part of the farewell, cosmetics from the game’s original launch have been brought back across all major Supercell titles and made free for everyone who played. Boom Beach players, however, will receive their items directly in-game rather than through the store.

To ensure everything connects properly, players must log in with their Supercell ID by November 14. Rewards may take up to 24 hours to appear, and all items will remain claimable until December 31, 2025.

Playtime-Based Rewards Across Four Games

Players who spent time in Squad Busters can now earn rewards in Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, and Hay Day. Rewards scale with total playtime, offering increasingly valuable bonuses for dedicated players.

In addition to these tiered rewards, players will also receive exclusive skins, emotes, and decorations in their respective Supercell games.

Farewell Gifts and Final Update

To ease the transition, players can transfer their 2025 in-game purchases from Squad Busters to any other Supercell title they play. The upcoming final update in December 2025 will serve as a proper send-off, giving fans one last chance to celebrate the quirky multiplayer experience before its servers go offline for good.
