At the same time, Sony is also working on their next-gen console—PlayStation 6. According to a previous report from gaming insider Moore’s Law Is Dead, the company is looking to release the console next year, and if this report is true, 2027 will be the year of another battle between Microsoft and Sony. Moreover, another reliable source, insider KeplerL2, is now claiming that both—Project Helix and PlayStation 6—are set to launch on holiday 2027. Here’s how scooper responded to one of the messages on NeoGaf:

“Both Xbox (Project Helix) and PS6 are still in track for Holiday 2027”

At this point, neither Microsoft nor Sony has confirmed their plans to release their respective next-gen consoles on holiday 2027. Recent reports suggested Sony will delay the release of PlayStation 6 due to RAM prices, but, as mentioned by Moore’s Law is Dead, Sony has invested a lot of money in 3nm manufacturing allotment, and “paying extra for RAM is not worth delaying something” for them. Among the other leaked details, PlayStation 6 is reportedly allowed to run the games in 4K and 120 FPS and will be 3-6x more powerful in terms of using ray tracing performance than PlayStation 5 Pro.

As for Xbox’s Project Helix, you can find out information about the console’s price, specifications, and comparison to other devices here.
