Baldur’s Gate 3 Miniatures Are Officially Out — And Fans Are Furious
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that has become iconic in the world of turn-based RPGs. Every character was crafted by the developers with care and attention to detail. Unique appearances, deep personalities, and rich backstories were all polished throughout the long beta period — until we got the perfect companions we love to save (or destroy, depending on your hobby) the world with. Larian did an incredible job. But there’s one thing that just doesn’t make sense. What happened to their miniatures?
Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast decided to treat fans with a Dungeons & Dragons Icons of the Realms line — official miniatures based on Baldur’s Gate 3. $50 for six companions and Withers doesn’t sound too bad… until you actually look at them. The result is so poor, it’s hard to believe this is an official product.

The minis come pre-painted — and that’s where the real problem lies. The paint job is incredibly sloppy. On almost every figure, the paint bleeds outside the lines, but Lae'zel suffers the most. Her forehead is painted so far up into her hair that she looks like a 60-year-old githyanki with a receding hairline. And it’s not just her — every figure has something going wrong.
Sure, $50 for seven miniatures isn’t a huge price, but fans expected at least decent quality. Instead, the community is disappointed — and honestly, pretty angry. The real question is: will we see any response from the manufacturer or the Baldur’s Gate 3 developers?
By the way, if you’re thinking about replaying the game — now’s the perfect time. The final patch is out, and it’s great.
