Apex Legends and Street Fighter 6 Collaboration Adds New Skins and Mode

Apex Legends is getting a major crossover with Street Fighter 6. The event, titled Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6, will bring new character skins, a special game mode and changes inspired by Capcom's fighting game.

The collaboration is scheduled to launch on September 22 at 10:00 AM PT.

Eight Legends Get Street Fighter Skins

The main part of the collaboration will be a collection of eight themed skins. Respawn has matched Apex Legends characters with fighters from Street Fighter:

• Sparrow — Ryu
• Alter — Chun-Li
• Bangalore — Elena
• Mirage — Luke
• Gibraltar — Akuma
• Wattson — Cammy
• Caustic — Blanka
• Pathfinder — Dhalsim

The skins combine the recognizable designs of the Street Fighter characters with elements from the corresponding Apex Legends Legends. For example, Caustic's Blanka-inspired skin includes transparent tubes containing electric eels as a reference to Blanka's signature abilities.

Players will also be able to earn a special Lifeline × Li-Fen Epic Skin through the event's reward shop using Zenny, the temporary event currency.

Street Fighter Comes to Wildcard

The crossover will also introduce a special Wildcard Takeover featuring Street Fighter-inspired gameplay.

One of the main additions is the new Fighter Form ability. Players will be able to choose between Ryu, Chun-Li, Dhalsim and Akuma, gaining enhanced melee combat and special movement abilities.

Depending on the selected fighter, players will have access to mechanics such as blocking, double jumps, teleport dashes and moves inspired by Street Fighter 6.

The mode will also receive visual changes inspired by locations and characters from Street Fighter, giving the Outlands a noticeably different look during the event.

The Event Starts September 22

Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 will go live on September 22 at 10:00 AM PT.

The collaboration combines a new collection of character skins with a temporary gameplay mode, making it one of the more substantial crossovers Apex Legends has received recently.

Players will be able to collect the Street Fighter-themed cosmetics while trying out the new Fighter Form mechanics and the updated Wildcard experience.
