FC The Grounds, EA FC 27 Open-World Mode, Will Include Mini-Games
The upcoming EA Sports FC 27 promises to be a truly revolutionary game in the series of the most popular soccer simulation. And although Electronic Arts has not yet announced the new installment, it is rumored to include a fully open-world mode titled FC The Grounds, similar to The City in NBA 2K series.
According to first rumors, The Grounds mode will allow the players to do a lot of activities with their character, including going to the gym and visiting the barbershop, as well as interacting with other players. The new report from Legion Looterana reveals it will also have, at least, 6 different mini-games, in which you can play at any time with real players: Balloon Ball, Foot Tennis, Closest to the Pin, Draw the Line, Kickabouts, and Rush Extreme. You can check out more details about mini-games in FC The Grounds below:
- Balloon Ball: Described as “football + Mario Kart” where you must dodge balloon balls and eliminate your rivals with clean shots.
- Foot Tennis: The classic foot tennis in 1v1 or 2v2. Show who has the most magic with the ball.
- Closest to the Pin: Make the perfect pass and leave the ball as close to the center of the target as possible.
- Draw the Line: You have to draw geometric shapes on the field based on the trajectories of your passes.
- Kickabouts: The classic neighborhood pickup games. The evolution of Volta and the soul of FIFA Street.
- Rush Extreme: 5v5 matches without goalkeepers. Frenetic pace and a guaranteed goal fest.
Previously, Legion Looterana also revealed that the map in EA FC 27’s The Grounds will not be a generic city and will be divided into national districts. That could mean we might see some kind of Brazil, UK, or Spain districts in The Grounds mode.
At this point, Electronic Arts hasn’t announced EA Sports FC 27 and hasn’t revealed anything about The Grounds mode, so this report still should be considered with a grain of salt.
