eFootball 6.0 Update Revealed With New Playstyle, Custom Tournaments, and Triple Showtime Cards

Konami has unveiled the first details of the eFootball 6.0 update during the eFootball Connect: World Festival livestream, revealing new gameplay features, fresh card mechanics, and upcoming player packs. The presentation took place at Siam Paragon in Thailand, the venue hosting the eFootball Championship World Finals 2026.

One of the biggest additions coming in August is the Custom Tournament mode. For the first time, players will be able to create their own tournaments, customize match rules, set substitution limits, and define eligibility requirements based on factors such as player nationality and Live Update condition before inviting others to compete.

Konami also introduced a new Overload team playstyle. The tactical system shifts more players toward the side of the pitch where the ball is located, creating numerical advantages in both attack and defense. Alongside the new playstyle, players will be able to switch between separate attacking and defensive formations during matches. New managers supporting the Overload system will also be added after the update.

The current Daily Game will be replaced by Daily Super Play, a new challenge that requires players to score goals from open play to earn daily progression and rewards. Version 6.0 will also introduce improved volley mechanics, allowing players to perform powerful first-time shots after deflections.

The livestream also showcased the upcoming Big Time & Showtime: Living Legends pack, available from July 27 to August 10. The collection introduces the first-ever three-Showtime Skill cards in eFootball, featuring Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Other football stars included in the pack are Neymar, Manuel Neuer, Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modrić, and James Rodríguez.

In addition, players will receive a free Chance Deal for the Epic: Legends Assemble pack on July 26. Combined with the previously announced Selection Contract, the event gives players the opportunity to obtain up to two free Epic cards before the major version update arrives.

The eFootball 6.0 update is scheduled to launch in August, bringing new tactical systems, gameplay improvements, and additional content following the conclusion of the eFootball Championship World Finals 2026.
