eFootball 2026 Update v5.2.0 Brings FIFAe World Cup 25 Celebration, New Modes, Free Players, and More

The v5.2.0 update for eFootball 2026has arrived, bringing with it a major in-game campaign themed around the upcoming FIFAe World Cup 25. Players can look forward to daily free signings, a revamped Campaign Hub, a new Squad Challenge mode, fresh card drops, and a variety of themed rewards.

In addition to the FIFAe content, KONAMI has rolled out a Flamengo celebration campaign and introduced new Epic and Show Time players. Here’s a full breakdown of everything included in the December 2025 update.

FIFAe World Cup 25 Campaign

The centerpiece of the update is the FIFAe World Cup 25 Campaign, celebrating the official esports tournament kicking off on December 10, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Running from December 4 to December 18, the event gives players access to a free manager, up to 150 coins, a free daily Show Time signing, and a selection of valuable in-game items.

Revamped Campaign Hub

The Campaign Hub returns with a refreshed structure. Players earn points by completing online matches or VS AI matches—Training, Exhibition, and Skill Up matches do not count. As the event progresses, the weekly point cap increases, allowing players to collect more rewards.

One of the standout Hub rewards is Gennaro Gattuso, who comes with an 89 Out Wide proficiency and the Diagonal Long Pass A Link-Up Play skill. He’s a strong free managerial option for many squads.

Daily Free Show Time Player

Throughout the campaign, players can claim one free Show Time player per day. The reward box persists for the full event duration, even if other boxes reset. The campaign kicked off with ST Michael Olise, and more players are expected to follow.

New Squad Challenge Mode: Team Effort

A brand-new mode, Squad Challenge, is now available under the title Team Effort. Every win grants rewards, but there’s a twist: any player used in a victorious match becomes unavailable for the next one. Rewards include booster tokens, skill tokens, GP, and more.

CAF Partnership Introduced

KONAMI has officially launched its new collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This partnership brings African football content to eFootball, including Africa Cup of Nations themes and future additions tied to national teams and CAF-organized competitions. The first wave of content arrives on December 11.

CR Flamengo Victory Campaign

To honor CR Flamengo’s recent championship win, a themed mini-event has been added. Players can obtain a free Highlight Chance Deal by logging in and earn two additional deals through a VS AI challenge. Flamengo players also receive a temporary Live Update Rating of A.

New Managers and Player Packs

As previously mentioned in the v5.2.0 preview, Ronald Koeman is now available for 750 coins. He features 89 proficiency in Out Wide and 88 in Possession Game, with Aggressive Centering A as his Link-Up focus.

Two new Epic players—David Beckham and Jan Koller—also join the roster. They arrive alongside Show Time versions of Pedro Neto and Hugo Ekitike. With top-tier Show Time abilities tailored to crossing and finishing, Beckham and Koller stand out as some of the strongest signings available right now.
