Borussia Dortmund Could Be Returning to eFootball in 2025

🕵️‍♂️ Hidden Team Matches Dortmund’s ID

According to renowned dataminer Durandil PES on X (formerly Twitter), the recent update 4.4.0 includes a mysterious new team named “Zeisjaadicht”.

While the name doesn’t directly reveal much, what’s important is that this team uses the same team ID once assigned to Borussia Dortmund in previous versions of the game.

Adding to the intrigue, users on the r/pesmobile subreddit have also spotted the same team appearing in-game under the “Other Teams” category. Although the team isn’t currently accessible or editable, its presence strongly hints at something brewing behind the scenes.

📜 Dortmund’s History with KONAMI

This potential return would mark the end of a long absence. Back in 2016, KONAMI signed a four-year licensing agreement with Borussia Dortmund, officially adding the club to the PES series. That partnership brought in legendary BVB players like Mats Hummels, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Marco Reus as part of the in-game roster.

However, when KONAMI transitioned to the eFootball series, licensing restrictions meant that Dortmund was left out—until now.

🔥 What Could a Comeback Mean?

If the rumors are true, Borussia Dortmund’s return could introduce a fresh lineup of Epic cards, celebrating legendary performances. One particularly exciting possibility? A Lewandowski Epic card based on his iconic four-goal masterclass against Real Madrid in 2013.

Such a comeback could reinvigorate the player base and attract long-time fans of both eFootball and Dortmund.

⏳ Final Thoughts: Wait and Watch

As of now, nothing is officially confirmed by KONAMI, but the signs are promising. The reappearance of Dortmund’s old team ID in the game files suggests that something is in the works.

Whether it’s part of a new licensing deal or just a placeholder, we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold for eFootball 2025. But one thing’s for sure—the Yellow Wall might be ready to rise again.
