Following two delays and significant challenges transitioning from their proprietary engine to Unity, the developers behind Football Manager 25 have announced the cancellation of the game. Instead, they will direct their efforts toward the next installment in the series.

In an official statement, the team expressed gratitude to the community for its unwavering support, impressive pre-orders, and trust throughout the process. However, despite positive feedback from early gameplay showcases, they decided against releasing a product they felt was incomplete. The developers also noted that postponing the game a third time wasn’t a viable option, as it would miss the critical window for the current football season.
