Moist Esports entered the realm of competitive esports in the second half of 2021, which is quite recent by the standards of big esports. Nevertheless, the club managed to quickly climb into the TOP of certain disciplines, although initially it was formed with a specialization in fighting games.

Rocket League has brought the greatest fame to the American esports organization. There Moist Esports became the best in July 2022.

Moist Esports in Rocket League

For the first time in the context of the Rocket League discipline, Moist Esports was talked about in May 2022. Then the organization that announced itself in Guilty Gear Strive and Super Smash Bros signed the composition of Team Queso, another well-known organization based in Spain.

The signing of Joyo, Vatira and rise by Moist Esports paved the way for the team to the European competitive scene, where Moist Esports showed their strength from the first championships. The debut tournament for Moist was the RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: EU Regional Event 1 - Dacia Spring CUP.

At RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: EU Regional Event - Dacia Spring CUP, the team reached the grand final, where they lost to Team BDS. The French, by the way, did not let Moist into the grand final from the upper bracket, beating them with a score of 4-3, and already in the final match they defeated Moist with a score of 4-0.

Then there was 4th place at RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: EU Regional Event 2 - Tour de Rocket League and RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: EU Regional Event 3 - Super 16 with a victory on it.

A confident start and top places in the ranking championships allowed Moist to qualify for the RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split Major.

At the first Major, Moist came close to crashing after falling to the lower bracket in the second round. However, the worst fears did not come true.

With fights, Moist reached the grand final, where they eventually crushed Team Falcons in two sets: 4-3 in the first and 4-0 in the second. The victory became a major team title and guaranteed a trip to the RLCS 2021-22 - World Championship.

The World Cup was not so successful. Although Moist Esports approached him as a favorite, they failed to rise above the TOP-8. On their way to the title, they were stopped by the Brazilians FURIA, who beat Moist 4-3.

After the championship, the team made a spot replacement. Vatira left the club, whose place was taken by Aztral.

The newcomer helped Moist reach the Top 4 at RLCS 2021-22 - Fall: EU Regional Event 1 - Fall Open and RLCS 2021-22 - Fall: EU Regional Event 2 - Fall Cup.

The last tournament in 2022 for Moist Esports was RLCS 2022-2022 - Fall Split Major. There, the American club almost managed to repeat the RLCS 2021-22 - Spring Split Major, but Gen.G intervened, taking the cup away from Moist with a score of 4-2.

Moist Esports in fighting games

Although the main merits in the popularization of Moist Esports lie with the Rocket League division, the original discipline with which the history of Moist began was Super Smash Bros. Moist appeared there in August 2021.

The first player to become a representative of the newly formed American organization was Kola. He joined the team on August 13 and was followed by Aaron, Goblin and Light to form the Ultimate Division.

The Super Smash Bros team competed at Beyond the Summit's Smash Ultimate Summit where they made it to the Top 7.

Another iconic unit was the Guilty Gear Strive roster. There, Moist came in with trump cards, signing the star of the scene - Hotashi.

Hotashi has been playing for Moist Esports since August 2021 and has earned over $28,000 from fighting games. His main achievement is the victory on Jonathan Tene in the ARCREVO America 2021 Finals.

In addition, in 2021, Hotashi, representing Moist, took second place at DreamHack Dallas 2022 and DreamHack Atlanta 2022, and also got into the TOP 3 at Holiday Matsuri 2022.

Moist Esports in Apex Legends

Cr1TiKaL was not limited to Super Smash Bros and Guilty Gear Strive teams. Respawn's battle royale expansion took place in September 2022.

The North American organization unveiled the debut lineup on September 6. When signing the team, a rather non-trivial region was chosen - Australia. The roster includes: Emtee, Wxltzy and Jaro.

On the local scene, Moist felt confident. The team won various community caps, which are popular in Apex and serve as a hook for less developed regions. The biggest result was 2nd place at ALGS: 2022 Split 1 Pro League - APAC South, where the team took 2nd place with a prize of $7,500.

Moist Esports Problems

Being a one man club, in the case of Moist Esports it is Cr1TiKaL, the organization often suffers from financial problems. Moist Esports is no exception and they have experienced this as well.

In October 2022, the club's owner reported that Moist was operating at a net loss. Charles encouraged his YouTube channel subscribers to join a special Omega Strikers event. As part of the championship, players could join a club and earn points for the overall ranking.

A huge number of users responded to the call of Cr1TiKaL, which eventually helped the team win the championship with 2 million wins in the overall standings.

How much Moist Esports have earned all time

Since entering big esports, Moist Esports has managed to earn $412,000. It took the team 42 tournaments to reach the prize money.

The bulk of Moist's prize money comes from the Rocket League division. They have $328,000 in their account.
