Ludwig Agren becomes co-owner of Moist Esports
North American esports organization Moist Esports has announced the strengthening of its leadership team and the appointment of Ludwig Agren as its co-owner. The popular content creator and streamer will run the club alongside fellow streamer Charles White Jr. aka MoistCr1TiKaL. The financial details of the agreement between the parties were not disclosed.
In the welcome video, Ludwig talks about how esports organizations struggle to make money and rely on venture capital funding and sponsorship from cryptocurrency partners to survive. MoistCr1TiKal then arrives to showcase the various trophies his esports team has won in the Rocket League and Smash disciplines.
Ludwig points out that the Moist Esports organization must be spending a lot of money to win that many trophies, to which MoistCr1TiKal says that Agren has some money to spend since signing an exclusive deal with YouTube in 2021.
Notably, MoistCr1TiKal and Ludwig have collaborated on a series of content in the past, with Ludwig himself performing in Super Smash Bros.
Most recently, the North American esports organization Moist Esports announced a sponsorship agreement with the Internet browser for gamers Opera GX.
Last year, Ludwig made his entrepreneurial debut by teaming up with Nick Allen, President of Mogul Moves, and Nathan Stantz, former General Manager of Gen.G Esports, to co-found a new creative studio, OFFBRAND.
In addition to gaining recognition as a streamer, Agren has recently gone on to organize and run esports tournaments. In particular, he launched the championship for the Ludwig Smash Invitational: Ultimate in Las Vegas in October, and also recently hosted the Ludwig x Tarik Valorant Invitational.
