Media: Konami is ready to trust third-party developers
After the recent news about the work of the famous Japanese studio on the new Silent Hill, Konami is remembered on the network again. According to Andy Robinson, editor-in-chief of the VGC portal, the Japanese company is exploring ways to develop other game series.
This means that Silent Hill isn't the only franchise that third-party developers will take over. Most likely the new Metal Gear, Castlevania and Contra will also be handled by other developers.
Konami's past failures have helped to become more open to third-party developers. Colorful examples were Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps, which the Japanese company failed to adequately support.
However, if the development of Metal Gear or Castlevania is not Konami, the release should not be expected soon. Such projects require a lot of attention, and it is not even clear yet whether the Japanese have given someone a license to start production.
