Strauss Zelnick Teases GTA 6 Will Receive Even More Massive Reveals After August 27

One of the main, if not the main, events of this month is the upcoming GTA 6 reveal. Last week, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will land exclusively on Netflix (August 27), after which the video will be available on the studio’s official platforms a few hours later. This appears to mark the start of a major marketing campaign for the game, as teased by Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick.

During a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Zelnick used an unusual analogy in the context of revealing the new GTA 6 footage. He stated that the upcoming game's presentation on August 27 is merely “one of the hors d’oeuvres,” to be followed by “appetizers and dessert,” hinting that future Grand Theft Auto VI presentations will be even more impressive than their predecessors, as you can check out below:

August 27 is clearly just a small taste of what Rockstar is cooking for the final marketing push through September, October, and November.

It remains to be seen what Rockstar Games will reveal during Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, but rumors suggest it will be a 20-minute presentation, during which GTA 6 gameplay will be shown for the first time and many of its mechanics will be unveiled. Additionally, the well-known gaming journalist HipHopGamer, who has connections with the studio's representatives, recently shared new details about the game. According to him, it will be incredibly detailed and vast, and the gameplay feels “completely different” compared to previous series titles. As for Strauss Zelnick, he also released a statement confirming that the majority of players pre-ordered the ultimate edition of GTA 6 that cost $100.
