Netflix Reveals That GTA 6 Extended Look Will Be 20 Minutes Long

Rockstar Games has officially announced when the next GTA 6 reveal will happen. It’s been confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere August 27 on Netflix, hitting Rockstar's own platforms shortly after.

Fans are still trying to figure out what to expect from this new reveal. Early rumors suggested An Extended Look would run a full 30 minutes, but according to updated info, it will actually be 10 minutes shorter. That statement has reportedly been confirmed by Netflix customer support, as spotted by Reddit users, although Rockstar hasn’t clarified it yet, so for now it's still just a speculation.

It is also worth noting that not everyone is thrilled Rockstar Games chose to show a new GTA 6 footage on Netflix instead of directly on its own channels. It's not just the subscription requirement (the cheapest plan is $8.99)—ads could show up during the presentation, and Netflix's servers might struggle with the surge in traffic, raising the odds of technical issues.

Despite some of that pushback, it's believed the deal between Take-Two Interactive and Netflix may have already earned Rockstar's parent company a decent sum, roughly equivalent to selling a million copies of GTA 6—though according to Tom Henderson, we will probably never know the exact number.
