Three Games Are Now Available for Free On Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has launched its latest free games giveaway, featuring two titles—Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together—but there's actually a third game you can add to your library free of charge, one that isn't part of the weekly promotion.

The first game you can add to your EGS library is Beacon Pines from Hiding Spot Games, released in 2022. It's a narrative adventure styled like a storybook, following a fox named Luka as she uncovers the secrets of her hometown. The second, We Were Here Together, is a co-op puzzle game developed and published by Total Mayhem Games in 2019. It's a sequel to We Were Here Too, where you and a friend play Arctic explorers communicating by radio, working together to solve puzzles and escape the medieval Castle Rock.

Both games are free to keep forever if you add them before 6:00 p.m. on August 13. It's also been announced that next week brings Caravan SandWitch, a meditative game from Studio Plane Toast, where you play a girl searching for her sister on the planet Cigalo. You'll have your own van to help explore the vast landscapes—the game's built entirely around exploration, with no health bar, combat system, or enemies standing in your way.

The Epic Games Store is also currently giving away Project First Contact, a first-person survival horror game from Atomic Fabrik centered on a UFO invasion of Earth—the game is free until August 18. On top of that, Ubisoft has announced a free giveaway of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Standard Edition, already live on Ubisoft Connect and running until August 13.
