Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Broke Another Milestone—3 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

Ubisoft’s latest release, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, which launched for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 on July 9, continues to reach new heights. The game sold 2 million copies in the first 24 hours after it was released, and the Steam version alone earned its developers over $35 million. This time the studio proudly announced another financial milestone.

On its social media, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has officially sold 3 million copies across all platforms. The studio also took the time to thank all the players for their support and revealed that they’re already working on adding a New Game+ mode to the remake, which should be coming in an upcoming update, as you can check out below:

Yo Ho Ho! More than 3 million copies sold across the seas...

Special thanks to all of you for playing and sharing tall tales about your Caribbean adventures.

Guess we'll have to keep the adventures going with New Game+ later on, mates.

Interestingly, following the success of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, both in terms of sales and reception by players and critics, game director Richard Knight recently revealed that the game might get a story DLC in the future that would reveal more about Edward Kenway’s story. So this means we could see unseen content before and learn a lot about the character's fate. But even then, fans will have to wait, as Ubisoft plans to spend a lot of time fixing technical issues with Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and improving its performance.

And it's worth remembering Black Flag Resynced already hides a teaser for Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe —the next mainline game in the series, announced back in 2022. Insider Rogue, who confirmed the connection between the two games, has also shared a bunch of new Codename Hexe details recently —including gameplay features, pricing, multiple editions, and a possible release date.
