Xbox Gamer Received an Early Access to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Following Forza Horizon 6, whose files were released by the developers in a Steam update and, as a result, leaked, allowing players to access the game on PC, the same applies to another game, the release of which is scheduled for this month - LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
After the preliminary game download started on the Xbox Series X/S less than a day ago, Reddit user Dramatic-Track-9935 shared that when the game download was completed, he literally managed to launch the game 11 days before the official release. At the moment, it is unclear whether this is a one-time incident or if other users could have encountered a similar bug. As confirmation, the user posted several screenshots from the game that you can check out below:
“So I just pre ordered the new Lego Batman Legacy Of The Dark Knight game and when I did they let me download it and everything so after It gave me to notifications that it “was ready to start” I clicked on it and this happened is this supposed to happen or am I playing it early or something”
It's very suspicious that leaks of two major games—Forza Horizon 6 and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight—happened almost simultaneously. And while the new racing game from Playground Games is essentially the developers' own fault, the situation with early access to the new Batman game so far raises questions.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will feature the biggest version of Gotham City, even bigger than in 2015’s Batman: Arkham Knight, and include 7 playable characters (Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, and Talia al Ghul), all with unique skills, abilities, and gadgets. We will also see a lot of DC lore from comics, TV shows, and films and fight some of the greatest Batman villains—Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and more. Insider Gaming recently shared that the game's main story duration is approximately 15 hours, but to complete LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight at 100%, you will need about 50 hours, which is pretty challenging. TT Games also recently released system requirements for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
The game officially releases on May 22 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The release date for Nintendo Switch 2 currently remains unknown.
