EA Sports Previews FC 26 Title Update 1.6.5 to Fix Clubs Matchmaking Issues

EA Sports has released a preview of EA FC 26 Title Update 1.6.5, confirming that the upcoming patch will focus on resolving matchmaking problems affecting Clubs mode. The update roadmap was shared on July 22, 2026, alongside an explanation for the delayed rollout.

According to the developers, the matchmaking issue was introduced as part of Title Update 1.6.4, causing some players to receive errors when attempting to join online Clubs matches. EA initially planned to deploy an emergency 1.6.5 patch, but additional testing uncovered another bug that required further work before release.

As a result, the studio postponed the update to avoid introducing new issues and said the patch will be released once the final testing process is complete.

The official patch notes currently include one confirmed fix:

• Clubs: Fixed instances where players received an error when attempting to start an online match.

The update is expected to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. EA has also encouraged players experiencing other issues to submit feedback through its official reporting channels to help identify and resolve additional bugs in future updates.
