EA SPORTS FC 26 Introduces New Token System With World’s Game Update

The upcoming World’s Game Update for EA SPORTS FC 26 is bringing a wave of fresh content, but one feature has quickly become the center of attention: the brand-new Token System.

Designed to reward players for actively participating in Ultimate Team modes, the system introduces a new currency that can be earned through gameplay and spent on exclusive rewards. While some parts of the update are already available, the full rollout is scheduled for June 4, 2026.

The new feature offers players additional progression opportunities and a new way to unlock valuable Ultimate Team content throughout the season.

How to Earn Tokens in FC 26

Tokens can be collected by playing a variety of game modes and completing selected activities across Ultimate Team.

• Rush
• Squad Battles
• Live Events
• Selected Objectives
• Certain Squad Building Challenges (SBCs)

Most of FC 26’s major Ultimate Team modes contribute toward Token earnings, encouraging players to engage across multiple areas of the game.

According to EA, players will be able to earn:

• Up to 5,000 Tokens during the upcoming Festival of Football campaign
• Up to 1,000 Tokens per week

The better the performance, the more Tokens can be earned over time.

Division Rivals Token Rewards

While EA has not revealed every rank reward yet, some examples have already been confirmed.

• Division 1 Rank: 275 Tokens (Base)/ 400 Tokens (Upgraded)

Additional divisions are expected to receive scaled rewards based on performance and progression.

Squad Battles Token Rewards

Squad Battles will also contribute significantly to weekly Token earnings.

• Elite 3: 400 Tokens
• Gold 3: 150 Tokens

Higher ranks are expected to provide larger payouts, rewarding consistent weekly play.

FUT Champions Receives Separate Currency

FUT Champions will feature its own dedicated Token system.

Unlike standard Tokens, Champions Tokens can only be spent on:

• Red FUT Champions Player Items
• Exclusive FUT Champions rewards

This creates a separate progression path specifically for competitive players.

Where to Spend Tokens

The World’s Game Update also introduces dedicated Token Stores where rewards can be exchanged for various Ultimate Team items.

• Approximately 25,000 Tokens could represent a full-season progression target
