eFootball 2026 Update Introduces National Team Campaign and Breakthrough Pass B Playstyle

Konami has released a new Thursday content update for eFootball 2026, introducing several additions to the game. The latest update highlights a National Team-themed campaign, a new Breakthrough Pass B Link-up Playstyle, upgraded versions of legendary players, and a special login campaign tied to the eFootball Championship 2026 Open.

National Team Campaign

One of the most notable additions is the National Team campaign, which introduces a reward system with a lottery-style mechanic.

Players earn points by playing matches, and these points can be used to open special campaign packs. Each point grants three draws, but players can collect a maximum of ten points during the event.

Two types of packs are available:

• Blue Pack – featuring Show Time Alexis Mac Allister
• Red Pack – featuring Show Time Dani Olmo

Both packs contain the same top-tier rewards but differ in the featured players. Since the number of available points is limited, focusing on a single pack may increase the chances of obtaining better rewards. If players manage to obtain a Show Time player early, they can use the remaining points to try their luck with the other pack.

Progress in the campaign can be made through PvP and VS AI matches, while exhibition, training, and skill-up modes do not count.

Breakthrough Pass B Link-up Playstyle

The update also introduces the Breakthrough Pass B Link-up Playstyle, a new gameplay mechanic focused on improving attacking combinations between midfielders and strikers.

This playstyle enhances the accuracy of through balls and chipped passes played from Box-to-Box midfielders to Goal Poachers in attacking positions, helping create more reliable scoring opportunities.

To complement the new system, Franz Beckenbauer is featured in a special manager pack associated with the Breakthrough Pass B setup. The pack includes the new link-up playstyle and provides additional +1 boosts to Dribbling and Defensive Awareness, along with compatibility with the Long Ball Counter tactical approach.

Epic Breakthrough Pass B Player Pack

The update also introduces a new Epic & Show Time Breakthrough Pass B player pack, bringing upgraded versions of well-known football legends.

Among the standout players are:

• Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, featuring Phenomenal Finishing and Blitz Curler
• Lothar Matthäus, equipped with Fortress and Phenomenal Pass abilities

The pack also includes featured players such as Julián Álvarez, who comes with Low Screamer and Acceleration Burst, and Enzo Fernández, who gains the Phenomenal Pass skill.

eFootball Championship 2026 Open Login Campaign

In addition to gameplay updates, Konami has launched a login campaign tied to the eFootball Championship 2026 Open.

Players who log in during the campaign period will receive 3,000 eFootball Points, which can be spent in the in-game Points Shop. During the tournament rounds, players can also exchange points for EXP tokens at discounted rates.

The campaign runs from March 12 to March 26, 2026.
